The "technique" of call and response
Our programs will generally include the musical technique "Call and response", which is an interactive form of music between the speaker who makes a "call" and the audience who gives a "response"
Beyond the utilization of "call and response" in music, teachers all around the world employ this technique to keep kids engaged in the learning process.
"Call and response" is used in most every culture and genre of music, including Classical, Jazz, Rock and Roll, Hip Hop, Old School, and especially foreign music.
African cultures in particular heavily use call and response to foster community and lasting relationships. The communal aspect of call and response is powerful and effective.
"Call and response" is also at the core of chants at sporting events, showing its effectiveness in communal activities.
